Portraits

Portraits use to be for the rich and the famous before cameras was introduce. it was mainly paintings but that all change when the first cameras first came in to fashion and in to our knowledge of a another great machine which revolution of technology.

One of the most famous Portrait Photographers. Her name was Diana Arbus. she famously took pictures of the Matthaei Family. She got ask to take the family picture by invitation but she keep questioning herself about why she was pick to take the pictures. She may never of found what she wanted which was a good photo because she committed suicide on 26th  July 1971 she was 48 years old. Her Technique was unique, she went out to fine real emotion what people show when off camera. she was not in to taking any old picture, she wanted to take art, she would go into the wild off her imagination. She would take pictures of people off their guard, unknowing or just take it quick with out letting the person time to pose or show the emotion they want. she would just take high class people she would walk in to slums of New York, Homeless people or young children in Central park or ordinary families in their home.
the pictures i have featured are some of the most famous pictures captured by Diana Arbus.

First picture is of a giant in his family flat. i think they know she is around by need sure when she gonna take the picture.

The second picture is of a little boy in central park in New York City. i think the way Diana took this picture is by stopping him and just take the picture before he can chose a pose. The way he has his hands looks like he is in a frustrated mood because of Diana stopped him playing to take a photo of him. I think Diana liked this photo because of the organic range of emotion the little boy.

The third one is the one of the best portrait of the 20th centuray it is of one of the Matthaei family this is of Marcello Matthaei one of the family youngest daughter.this was one where Diana didn't tell Marcello she is taking the picture. just the pure emotion shown in this one picture changes the face of portraits forever.
